We teamed up with our friends at Mysa Nordic Spa and Alicia to create something truly special: a green smoothie that’s anything but basic. Powered by Cira Mango Greens, loaded with leafy goodness, and finished with a spa-style beet swirl and sorbet topper, this recipe feels like a glow-up in a glass.

Whether you’re fueling a busy morning or enjoying a slow afternoon reset, this smoothie is your invitation to sip something fresh, nourishing, and just a little bit extra.

The Green Smoothie Base

This isn’t your average green drink. We’re talking fiber-rich frozen cauliflower, sweet tropical mango, and not one but two juices for an antioxidant-packed base. Toss in kale, spinach, and one scoop of our Cira Mango Greens, and you’ve got a powerhouse blend that tastes like sunshine.

You’ll need:

  • 5 oz frozen cauliflower

  • 2 oz frozen mango

  • 150 ml apple cider

  • 150 ml orange juice

  • 1 cup packed kale

  • 1 cup packed spinach

  • 1 scoop Cira Greens – Mango

To make: Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender and blend until smooth. Set aside while you prep your glass with a fun, colourful swirl.

Beet Gel Garnish

This natural beet gel is what gives your smoothie that signature swirl up the sides of your glass—and bonus—it’s packed with nutrients too. It’s easy to make ahead and keeps well in the fridge.

You’ll need:

  • 500 ml water

  • 8 oz raw, peeled beets

  • 5 g agar agar

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

To make:

  1. Blend water and beets on high until ultra-smooth. Strain through a fine mesh strainer and reserve the pulp (you’ll use it for the sorbet).

  2. In a small saucepan, whisk together beet juice, lemon juice, and agar agar.

  3. Bring to a boil, then cool in the fridge until set.

  4. Once solid, cut into cubes and blend again until smooth. Transfer to a squeeze bottle or piping bag.

Swirl the beet gel along the inside of your glass.

Beet Sorbet Topper

This sorbet is the cherry on top of your smoothie moment—except it’s made from beet pulp, citrus juice, and just the right touch of sweetness. It’s cool, refreshing, and a zero-waste win.

You’ll need:

  • Reserved beet pulp from the gel

  • 2 cups lemon juice

  • 1 cup white sugar

  • 1/2 cup honey

  • 3 cups water

  • 1 tsp salt

To make:

  1. Blend all ingredients until completely smooth.

  2. Churn in an ice cream or sorbet machine until firm. No machine? No problem—pour into a shallow tray and freeze, then scrape with a spoon to serve.

To Serve

  • Swirl your clear glass with beet gel.

  • Pour in your blended green smoothie.

  • Add a small scoop of beet sorbet on top.

  • Sprinkle with chia seeds and garnish with an edible flower (we love pansies or violets for a spa-like finish).
